The mission of Head for the Cure is to raise awareness and funding to inspire hope for the community of brain cancer patients, their families, friends, caregivers and other supporters, while celebrating their courage, spirit and energy.
We accomplish this by hosting a series of 5K runs/walks and other events to raise funding in support of brain cancer research benefiting local beneficiaries and our national beneficiary, The Brain Tumor Trials Collaborative (BTTC). We also provide support through our programs including Brains for the Cure, survivor luncheons and other community engagements. All of these events and programs allow us to raise funds, awareness and hope for the brain tumor community.

Michael Prysock is a singer-songwriter deeply affected by life in rural Arkansas, and through his music, tells achingly true tales of the influences of his family and the brotherhood of friends that helped raise him. Prysock skips the clichéd heart songs of romance and moves purposefully to lyrics that convey real struggle and the authenticity of living. Uniquely talented and masking a rare personal humility not often seen in today’s contemporary musical bravado, Prysock is a spirited one-man-band, providing vocals, guitar and harmonica to a raw soundtrack of small-town life.
